The air traffic controllers announced that they will participate in the 24hrs general strike of 15 June 2011. Their strike is intended to last from Tuesday 14/6 21:01 UTC till Wednesday 15/6 20:59 UTC (the respective local times are from Tuesday midnight to Wednesday midnight).
We will keep you updated in case of any changes as due to high tourist traffic it is possible for the strike to be altered to a few hours work halt or even to be cancelled.

UPDATE 1 (13/6/11)
Unofficial but trustworthy sources report that the strike action was cancelled and all operations will be normal on Wednesday.
We hope that there will be official press releases by Tuesday morning.
UPDATE 2 (14/6/11)
Both the Air Traffic Controllers' Association and the Federation of Associations of Hellenic Civil Aviation Authorities announced the cancellation of their intended strike action for tomorrow.
