THOMAS COOK SECURED FINANCING
Thomas Cook managed to secure £200m re-financing from its bankers calming down markets, shareholders and business partners. The new loan will allow TC to proceed with structural changes in order to reach profitability.
It's worth mentioning that TC brought in Greece last summer around 2.000.000 visitors of whom 200.000 came in Rhodes, more than 10% of island's total arrivals.







RYANAIR TO OFFER RESERVED SEATING
Ryanair decided to offer permanently the so far tested reserve seating service in which under a fee of €10 (each way) passengers can either reserve a seat in the front two rows for quicker disembarkation or in the middle (rows 16 & 17) for greater legroom. The service will apply to all Ryanair's network from 10 January 2012 and will also include priority boarding at no extra charge.


OLYMPIC AIR REDUCES LOSS, PLANS FOR 2012
Olympic Air restructuring seems to work out as losses were narrowed down more than half compared to last year's. The airline will continue focusing on domestic and regional routes while it will try entering the charter market for next summer season in order to compensate losses caused by shutting down all but one of its major European routes.
